This well-known Kite Festival is the largest in Italy and will take place from 31 March to 2 April 2023: 12 nations with over 200 kite flyers will participate.
Let’s discover the most interesting and fun appointments of this colorful event!
International Kite Festival: 3 days of beauty and fun
The 1,500 meters of Jesolo’s beach form the flying arena of the international kite festival, the beating heart of an event that attracts enthusiasts, professionals, and curious people. Among the participating nations (Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Malta, Colombia, Dubai, and Slovenia), there is a guest of honor: Thailand, where kites have been part of the people’s culture for 700 years.
During the event, each country will fly kites typical of its nation in a festive atmosphere. Thanks to this melting pot of traditions and cultures, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about new types of kites, deal with enthusiasts and professionals, and meet new friends.
The rich program of the second edition of the Jesolo Beach & Kite Festival
On March 31, Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, there will be demonstrations of acrobatic kites and exciting free-flight moments. The program has been designed to welcome and entertain all ages.

Here’s in detail what awaits you at the Jesolo Beach & Kite Festival:
- An arena of giant 3D kites (some exceed 400 square meters of fabric!!)
- Wind gardens, an area dedicated to ground installations of colorful objects that come to life through the power of the wind
- An area set up for 2 or 4 cable acrobatic kites, ready to perform to the rhythm of the music
- A dedicated space for static, artistic, historic, and classic kites
- Kite-building workshops for both adults and children
- Markets and stalls where you can buy ready-to-use kites
The three-day program on Jesolo’s seafront also includes a photo contest, an art exhibition, and the striking night flight: special LED lights will illuminate kites and installations, creating a magical and breathtaking atmosphere!
Fun and educational moments at Italy’s largest kite festival
Through the workshops, professionals will explain the main theoretical concepts of flying. By conveying knowledge of its history in different countries, they will bring adults and children closer to the varied universe of the kite.
The free workshops will be held (by reservation only) at our cozy seafront terrace! Here participants will learn how to build and fly a kite inside the arena on the beach in front of the Hotel Napoleon.
Each workshop session lasts 2 hours and can accommodate a maximum of 25 participants. Therefore, we recommend that you make a reservation to seize this opportunity.

Among competitions and demonstrations of Freestyle, Big Air, Speed and Long Distance, creative workshops, and night flights, get ready for a special edition of the Jesolo Beach & Kite Festival!
From March 31 to April 2, enjoy three days of colors and wonder!
